Privacy Policy
Information we collect
None. VOR/DME Finder does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There is no user account, no login, no tracking pixel, no analytics SDK, and no advertising network.
Location data
If you tap “Use my location”, the app asks the operating system for your current coordinates in order to compute a radial and distance from a navaid. That coordinate is used only in the calculation on your device and is placed in the input field. It is never sent to us or to any third party, and it is not stored after you close the app. You can decline the permission and the rest of the app continues to work normally.
Data stored on your device
Your saved favourites, recent calculation history, and display preferences (units, decimals, magnetic or true bearings, theme) are stored locally using your browser or app storage. They never leave your device. Deleting the app removes them.
Network connections
The worldwide navaid database and all calculations are bundled with the app and work fully offline. The only optional network requests are background map tiles, which are requested from third-party map providers (CARTO and Esri) when you view the map. Those providers may log the standard technical information any web server receives, such as an IP address. If you never open the map or you are offline, no such request is made.
Children
The app is a general-purpose aviation reference tool and is not directed at children. Since no data is collected, no information from children is collected either.
Disclaimer
VOR/DME Finder is intended for flight simulation and flight-planning reference only. It is not certified for real-world navigation and must not be used as a primary means of navigation.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
